The Lone West invites you to experience and stay within the awe inspiring Eastern Mountain Sierras. Unobstructed views take your gaze over the expansive cattle ranch leading you to the foot of Mount Langley, Mount Whitney, Horseshoe Meadows, Mount Williamson and more. Where the cattle graze in the morning sunlight, and the coyote howls at heavens magical twilight, the life on the Lone Hunter Ranch has its way of taking you to the land before time. Life in its simplest most precious existence.
When my eyes came upon this land and its roaming cattle herd, I fell in love with its rawness and its Wild West landscape. It was as if I’d been placed back in time, riding horse and wagon along the backdrop of the epic Eastern Sierra Mountain range. I was awestruck. The Lone Hunter Ranch is named after the town of Lonepine and the road that it lives but to me it also represents the “lonehunter “in us that travels in search of adventure, purpose and simplicity. It is the hunter of life. The lone hunter is the lone seeker. I am forever grateful to call this property my home. Forever grateful to share The Lone West with you.
There is plenty of property surrounding the house.
This place was enchanting to say the least. The location and views right from the living room and bedroom were unreal – a full close up of the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains. And the actual living quarters were incredibly aesthetic, stylish and western, with big windows everywhere taking advantage of those views. It was easy to see the great care put into interior design and procuring the right decor which also helps make this place truly a gem. Lydia herself was an incredibly responsive host, and very accommodating to us when needed. My only regret was not spending more time at the location during our stay and just taking in the surrounding natural beauty!
Great place for a couples getaway or maybe even a solo trip to unwind or do creative thinking. In my case it was a perfect location for my wife and I to celebrate my 40th birthday while also visiting Death Valley. Hope to stay again sometime!
If you’re looking for a beautiful get away as a couple this is it. Lone west was perfect for our little family. The views were worth every penny. Within a short and trafficless drive to Death Valley. The drive out to the house was absolutely stunning and there is a town nearby with food, gas, and groceries. The house itself was flawless from the time we entered and Lydia was there to greet us and went out of her way to be an amazing host. We enjoyed the wood stove inside and the Stone tub of an evening looking at the stars at night. For anyone looking for amazing views and somewhere to recharge I would highly recommend Lone West & Lone east. We will be back!
Stunning location with perfect views of lone pike peak. Quick and easy access to multiple trailheads. Outdoor tub is to die for. A real retreat space for zen and relaxation.
This is one of the most beautiful, incredible spots I’ve been. Location cannot be beat. Wake up in the morning with a totally unobstructed view of Mt Whitney. Take an outdoor bath in total privacy with just the cows and frogs to judge you. Lydia is a dream host. Personable, responsive and meticulous on every detail. This place is a total treasure and we’ll be back without a doubt.
Gorgeous area, unreal views. The interior rooms are incredibly well designed—every item looks hand selected.
Close drive from Lone Pine and the Whitney Portal.
Lone West is an aesthetically pleasing property against the backdrop of the eastern end of Sierra Nevada’s mountain range. The home has everything you will need for a getaway: unreal views, calm energy, and spa-like amenities like an outside shower with a stone tub, multi-media art installations, sliding doors that open up to the mountains….and just a few minutes away from town and Mt Whitney. It was also a perfect trip for our dog who enjoyed watching the breeze and rabbits.
The weekend was not enough for us and we will be back!
This home is amazing! The view is priceless and space is so well decorated. Such a beautiful place. I would definitely come back
