Joost’s place is amazing. The property is really unique with well thought out design (i.e. epic views through all glass doors/windows) and open concept living/dining/kitchen. Kitchen has everything you need and is intuitively organized. Bedrooms were super cozy. Bathrooms had the essentials. Whole place was clean and tidy. For folks looking to work remotely – there are multiple standing desks + large dining table + well functioning WiFi! It was a great getaway for our family of four (two elementary aged kiddos) – we all loved exploring the rocks behind the house and spending time on the wraparound deck that overlooks the mountains. Great jumping off point to any adventures in the Easter Sierras

Joost’s place was breathtaking with incredible views. I have no words to describe the peace of that place. The most remarkable to me though was Joost himself! He was a gracious host with amazing recommendations. He made sure we were comfortable during our stay and communicated well whenever we had questions. I can’t wait to come back!

This location is remarkable and the property is as promised and more – spotlessly clean, well provisioned, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. We took my parents here to experience the beauty of the Sierras and they were floored. Adding to the long list of rave reviews – this property is a gem!

I loved this space. The furniture, the cool lights, the book selection, the Aarke water carbonator and I loved the outdoor bathtub. I never take baths and I bathed for hours looking at the mountains or the lake. It was so amazing and fun and smooth. Tons of creative touches. Fun fun fun!

We had such a great time at Joost’s beautiful place! The views were amazing! We loved watching the sunset each night and staring at the stars through the big floor to ceiling windows. Everything was perfect. I absolutely loved the stone tub outside- so relaxing and peaceful. Super clean and organized and loved the interior design. We will be back for sure!

We intensely enjoyed our stay in Joost’s beautiful house. The design and furnishings are so cleverly and stylishly done. Everything is right, down to the fragrance in the bathroom, the beautiful and soft towels, and the lovely books. The place is lovely and quiet, the views and starry nights are unworldly, the outdoor bath tub is so relaxing, and the drive into town is beautiful and there are some great lunch/dinner options there. Joost is a great host, with whom we had pleasant chats.

This was our second time visiting, and this is by far one of our favorite places in the world!

The property is beautiful and peaceful, with unbelievable views of the eastern Sierra. There are two houses on the property and both houses are stunning. Unique, tasteful and functional, they have everything you could ever need. Views through the giant floor-to-ceiling sliding doors (that open ALL the way) are absolutely breathtaking.

Joost is a friendly and accommodating host, and it’s clear that he put a lot of effort, time and love into his properties. 10 stars. Thank you, Joost!
